about this farm
about this farm
La Primavera
Our agroecological farm, La Primavera is located in Los Guayabillos area, approximately 200 meters above sea level on Santa Cruz Island. This location is ideal for cultivating certain Arabica coffee varietals that have successfully adapted to the unique geographic conditions of the Archipelago. The nutrient-rich volcanic soils and oceanic humidity create microclimates similar to those found at 1,200 meters above sea level in mainland Ecuador.
We grow our coffee using organic and agroecological practices, making the most of everything we produce on the farm. Thanks to the surrounding ecosystems and biodiversity, our coffee grows under the shade of endemic trees, forming micro-forests that shelter countless bird species native to the islands.
Our coffee is produced and processed by hand. Ripe cherries and beans are carefully hand picked. This artisanal approach minimizes environmental impact and helps preserve the delicate ecosystems of our beautiful islands. All of this—combined with the hard work of our producers and the love we have for this plant—has allowed our coffee to be certified with a Designation of Origin. It transforms a simple fruit into something magical. That is why it takes on unique and singular characteristics, becoming a one-of-a-kind coffee, just like the “Enchanted Islands” where it originates.
- supporting local communities
We work directly with producers across Ecuador to foster transparent relationships. Each microlot is fully traceable to its origin, and grown with sustainable practices that honor the land and its people. By choosing our coffee, you’re supporting small producers and preserving unique growing regions for generations to come.
- planet conscious
Our coffee comes in 100% recyclable, single-material packaging that keeps flavor locked while helping minimize waste.
